I admit that I am a bit of a sucker for a high end lipstick. I tend to buy more high end things than drugstore. For me to buy a drugstore product, it needs to have accumulated a lot of positive buzz, but I'm trying to change that. I want to explore drugstore cosmetics more. I know that there are mascaras there that I like, so when I was at CVS, I went to the next thing that I knew I would probably like, the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms. I already had one in the color Flirtatious Charmeuse, and the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Unapologetic, and I have gotten tons of use out of both of them.
I picked up the color Coquette because I don't have anything like it. At $8.99 plus tax, they are very reasonably priced. A very glossy, true pink. It has very nice pigmentation, not too overpowering, so very good for an on-the-go lip color, no lip brush required. It has very good staying power, obviously not as good as the Matte Balms, but a good three to four hours. It also has the minty smell that all of the other Colorbursts have, I am personally a fan of this, however you may not be.
It is a good product, there is not a doubt in my mind about that, and an amazing drugstore product, but in comparison to some of my higher end lip products, I'm just not sure if I'll be reaching for this that often. We'll just have to wait and see!
